A Hard Surfacing Electrode with High Deposition Efficiency

Alloys : C, Cr, Cb

DESCRIPTION :

STATUS 804 Has is low heat input hard surfacing electrode depositing weld with exceptional resistance to abrasion at room temperature as well as at elevated temperature up to 5500C. Superior weldability with very high metal recovery (180%).

APPLICATIONS:

Ideal for hard facing application on machine parts subject to severe erosion, abrasion and moderate impact. Suitable for refractory screws, brick press screws, conveyor screw, cement press screws, dredger bucket, pug mill, tube & rolling mill guides, blast furnace bells and hopper, coal crushing hammers etc.

TYPICAL WELD METAL HARDNESS : 57 – 62 HRC

WELDING CURRENT AND SIZE OF ELECTRODE:

SIZE (mm) 2.50 3.15 4.00 5.00
CURRENT (Amps) ac/dc+ 60-90 110-140 140-190 160-210

WELDING PROCEDURE:

  • Clean metal surface. Maintain medium arc length.
  • Use weaving technique with low current setting.
  • Allow each run to cool before depositing another.
  • Do not deposit more than two layers.
