DESCRIPTION :

STATUS – 427 is all position radio-graphic quality electrode for joining, repairing and surfacing of 13% Cr steels. The weld deposit has excellent toughness and resistance to oxidation & corrosion, which is easily machinable.

APPLICATIONS:

For welding & surfacing of 13% Cr steel, armature, hydraulic turbines, pump housings, valves, shafts and rolls etc.

WELDING PROCEDURE:

  • Clean weld surface.
  • For 13% Chrome steels preheating to 150°C is recommended, weld with short to medium arc keeping electrode vertical.
  • Do not peen.
