DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS:

RAJ ALLOY HF-II is a medium coated rutile type hard facing electrode. Weld deposit is an air hardening type carbon- chromium alloy weld metal. Weld deposit is machinable and resistant to moderate abrasion and heavy impact. Ideal electrode for building up of worn out surfaces of tractor-links, drive sprockets, tractor wheels, steel mill rolls crane wheel, brake shoes, shear blades, roll wobblers etc.

PRECAUTIONS::

  • Store the electrode in dry place. Re dry the electrode at 150°C before use.
  • Use short arc.
  • In order to obtain proper build-up, welding currents should not be too high.
  • If the carbon content in material is above 0.30%, a buffer layer with our Starlet-16 or superlet-18 electrodes.
