DESCRIPTION :

A great penetrating pipe-welding electrode giving higher deposition rates both in ‘Stove Pipe’ and conventional techniques. Its excellent molten pool control and low spatter loss coupled with smooth arc characteristics with fast freezing easily removable slag enables it for welding high strength pipe lines.

APPLICATIONS :

For welding of high strength pipelines and pipe steel. Suitable for use in root, filling and capping runs In API 5LX60 to 5LX70 grade pipelines, used for transmission of oil, gas etc.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Use dry electrodes. Electrodes slightly affected by moisture should be carefully dried at temp 80°C before use.
  • Use DC + Polarity and employ weldmg currents within the range recommended. Welding with excessive current results in increased spatter and undercut. Furthermore It adversely effects the quality of weld metal
  • Remove oil, grease, dust and rust from parent metal.
