DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS:

SUPERLET – 18 NACE having basic flux covering contains iron powder that provides tough & crack free weld deposits highly resistant from hydrogen induced cracking. The electrode has ease of operation in all position on AC/DC(+), smooth & stable arc, easy to strike & re-strike, low spatter and easy slag detachability. Welds are of radiographic quality, Highly suitable for welding of carbon steel in fabrication of machinery & equipment of a wide range, especially for structure which are designed for severe service condition involving heavy stresses and dynamic loads. It finds numerous applications with grain-refined constructional steels having tensile strength in the range 500 to 600 N/mm2.


SUPERLET -
IB NACE meets the requirements of sulphide stress corro-sion cracking test and Hydrogen induced cracking test as per NACE stan-dard.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Store in a dry place. Redry the eletrodes at 250°C for one hour before use.
  • Maintain appropriate current and short arc.
  • Remove oil, grease, dust and rust from parent metal. Avoid handling or electrodes with moisture greasy hand.
