CLASSIFICATION

AWS-5.1 IS-814
E – 7016 EB5426H3X

DESCRIPTION :

RAJWELD – 70 W is a all position, hydrogen controlled,radiographic quality electrode having special type of lime coating, which gives trouble free welds on “difficult steel” such as high carbon, low-alloy,high sulpher, cast steel and cold rolled steel. Electrode produces a smooth well-rippled bead with fewer spatters. Easily removable slag. Weld metal is highly resistant to cracking.

APPLICATIONS :

High carbon steel parts, high carbon steel to mild steel,low alloy steel, steel having high sulpher, Armour plates, Cast steels,Manganese steel and Steel of unknown composition.

PRECAUTIONS::

  • Use Dry electordes. Electrodes slightly affected by moisture should be carefully dried at temp 200C before use, for one hour.
  • Use AC (90V) or DC + Polarity and employ welding currents within the range recommended. Welding with excessive currant results in increased spatter and undercut. Furthermore it adversely affects the quality of weld metal.
  • Remove oil, grease, and rust from parent metal.
