DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS:

RAJCORD-13SS is a heavy coated rutile type, all position electrode with very quite and stable arc, negligible spatter, self peeling slag, exceptionally clean, shiny and smooth bead. Electrodes suitable for major structural work where radiographic quality at high welding speeds is desired.

RAJCORD-13SS is suitable for welding Railway Coaches, Panels, L.P.G. Cylinder, Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Storage Tanks, Furnace Shells, Locomotive fire boxes, Bridges, Auto frames, Wagons etc. and where strength combined with streamlined finish is necessary.

PRECAUTIONS::

  • Use dry electrodes. Electrodes slightly affected by moisture should be carefully dried at temp 150°C before use.
  • Maintain short arc and employ welding current within the range recommended.
  • Welding with excessive current results in increased spatter undercut and uneven slag covering.
  • Furthermore it adversely effects the quality of metal
  • Remove oil, grease, dust and rust from parent metal.
